Shielding cover is used to shield the influence of external electromagnetic wave on the internal circuit and prevent the electromagnetic wave generated inside the external radiation components.
According to the structure, the shield cover can be divided into single-piece (only shield cover), two-piece (composed of shield frame and shield cover) and multi-piece (composed of shield frame, internal partition and shield cover).
The shielding cover is generally made of stainless steel, copper-nickel-Zincalloy or tinplate. When used for PCB welding, it is generally made of Copper with good weldability. This material has the characteristics of easy tin loading and good shielding effect, and is widely used in SMT patch welding.
When designed as a piece, the shielding cover is generally c7521-1/2H copper-white (general material), C7521-OH copper-white (soft material, for deep drawing) or tinned steel belt (tinplate); When the design is two or more pieces, the shielding frame generally uses C7521-1/2H white copper (general material), C7521-OH white copper (soft material, drawing), because there is no need for welding, the shielding cover generally uses stainless steel SUS304R-1/2H (bending processing), SUS304R-1/4H (drawing) and so on.
The shielding cover used for welding on PCB can be made of white copper and tinplate. Since white copper has better welding, heat dissipation and shielding effect than tinplate, it is recommended to use white copper.
Key parameters of shield cover:
Thickness: 0.1mm; 0.15mm (conventional); 0.20 mm;
Flatness, 0.05mm (minimum)
Internal insulation grade:? KV (printing insulating ink);
Corrosion resistance: salt spray 48H, neutral salt spray
